No one did as far as I remember. But isn't that what they did with the Grease and Wonderful Town for Brook Shields?

I believe Forbidden Broadway "closes" inbetween editions or else Forbidden Broadway would have a lot more performances than attributed 2,232 performances (1982-1987) of its original run.

Beyond the Fringe never closed. Its name change came in January of '64 and it closed fice months later.

There is a Beyond the Fringe '65 billed as an return engagement without any of the original players. So really was revival and ran only 30 performances

Thank you to DRs Matt and Jose for the "Six Feet Under" thoughts.

Now for "Carnivale". I won't check the website as I don' t want any story lines etc.

These shows I have found to be the most rewarding of any Television show for many many years.
In some ways more "Real" than any reality TV show. The characters have been allowed to grow.

I'm back from a somewhat distressing casting session. I must say, I am sometimes appalled by how not so good many actors are. This character is so on the page that all you have to do is read the dialogue and you'll pretty much at least have the basics of it. But, we had some actors who put so much "acting" on top of it, and acting that was not suited to the character, that we all just sat there with our mouths open. I didn't see anyone who I would even call back. So, we may have to have another session.

Spent several midday hours helping at the garage sale. One of my friends came in to help and spotted a brown leather Eisenhower-style jacket and said, "This would be great for the right person." I realized that the "right person" was probably just crawling out of bed at home, so I called DS Rob and he walked over and bought the jacket for $7.50. It looks like it was made for him. Just had an email from the AAUW branch president, thanking everybody for their efforts and announcing that we made about $1000 for our scholarship fund.

Late this afternoon, DH Richard, DS Rob, and I went to see the Star Wars movie (which they had each already seen, separately). I liked it, especially the lead-in to the "old" first SW movie, which we're watching now.

Good Evening!

We're back from shopping... and more shopping... and eating... and shopping... and shopping... and eating... and shopping...

Whew!

I can't believe we were out for eight hours - and most of it one mall - well, "Town Center" - Short Pump Town Center to be exact.

I'll share the not so gory details once I'm back up north in a few hours. It's cooled off nicely, and it should be a nice evening for the drive back up to Fairfax. Just taking a little breather right now to gather things up and make sure I got everything I need.

Goodness, have I neglected to tell the HHW about my new job? Shame on me. My new job, which I've been at for exactly a month now, is at a place called ACAP Child and Family Services. I forget what CAP stands for, but the "A" stands for Auburn, which is the city it's located in. It's a daycare, but also a resource center for parents...particularly teen and foster parents. So there are parenting classes, health programs, general financial aid programs, etc. I work in all the classrooms, so I care for infants on up through 5 year olds. I absolutely love it.

Jed's interview, btw, is on Tuesday, time TBA.

Speaking of Jed, I'm off to see AGYG tonight! I finally get to see TCB and Jed in action. I will, of course, have a full report for ya'll upon my return
