A crowd of 600+ at the show tonight. And they were ready to be entertained. Really a lot of fun.

This post was in the midst of George’s “Report from OLT.”  I thought this was George’s post, and I was like, “Wait a minute, I have been to that theater and there is NO WAY you can get 600 people in that building.”

Well, you could if everyone was stacked on each other. ::)

Today, I'm going to usher for the matinee performance of Harlequin Productions' production of Murder for Two, the one-act musical with two actors, four piano-playing hands and 13 characters. :)

After that but before I go to the show I'm running sound for, I'm going to my mom's to help her repackage a Vitamix that she wants to return.  Hopefully, she kept all of the packaging.

Then after tonight's show, we're having a cast party at the stage manager's house.

The alarm rang at 5:30 and I said to Thatch, who was lying next to me, "Let's sleep a little more." At 6:30 I woke.

I dreamed I was working at Goodspeed. My friend Ben Davis was ibn the cast and it was the day after the season closed. There was horse racing, of all things, there was some rivalry between two ladies over the affections of Ben, and one of them pulled "her" horse from the race, the one Ben was going to ride. I think I suggested to the other lady that she offer Ben her horse, and I think he won. Then I had to pack up my possessions and move back to NYC. My roommate at Goodspeed was Eddie Weinstein, with whom I went to school, grades 1-12 and whom I have not thought about since 1964!

The night before, I dreamed that my book Annabelle & Thatch was published and illustrated by Charles Schulz. I still would prefer Hillary Knight to illustrate.

Today I get hauled off to jail with Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart. I hope the warden is kind.

Kitty cleanup is finished, and the bed is made. I still have my basement-mail pickup treks to accomplish before my daily chores are over.

We have a lake wind advisory in effect until 7 p.m.   I have zero idea how bad that is, but it likely affects only those folks who do boating on the lakes.

Our high today will be 74 degrees, and our low tonight is expected to drop to 43 degrees.

Skies will be partly cloudy.  Right now, they are overcast.

I was awakened this morning by the telephone.

When I said, "Hello", an assertive male voice said, "Barbara?"

I took a beat and then brusquely asked the man if I sounded like a "Barbara".

He said, "No.  No message. Have a nice day." He then hung up.

My mother was Barbara.  This man was not an acquaintance and had no idea that she would be 92 if she were alive.

If he had asked to speak to Mrs. Pulliam, I would have been more kind in my reply to him.

Gosh!  It's just me and zero guests here right now.

I feel so isolated.

If you were Norman Bates, the question would not be so far-fetched.

That reminded me of an episode of "Our Gang".  I don't recall exactly what happened, but Buckwheat was in bed, shivering, and a doctor found he was encased in ice cubs.  He asked the mother why she had put ice around his body.

She replied, "You told me to ice-o-late him".

I guess that wouldn't be seen as anything remotely PC today, but it was a funny play on the word.

I guess I should wend my way into the kitchen and brew a cup of coffee.

It won't take but a few minutes.  If anyone drops by before I get back, sit a spell and wait for my return.
