I am hoping that Mrs Thomas' emails will result in her dumbass husband's resignation from the Supreme Court.

There's always hope, but sadly I don't think anything will happen to either of them. :P

Considering he took measures to prevent information about her from being discovered by Congress, he should be impeached.

And yes, I still believe Anita Hill's accusations were true.

Thatch is behaving like a little puppy this morning and not at all like a well-behaved, nonchalant, aloof proper pussycat.  He comes when I call him, climbs all over me,  plays with his toys for a bit, and then returns for more loving and pets. He's so cute.

I'm up, I'm up - could not fall asleep last night - so annoying - was in bed by two and laid there like so much fish until five-thirty. Got up for an hour, then back to bed and fell asleep, so maybe five hours total.

I finally did something with many of my Fiesta medals from through the years. Fiesta starts next Friday, I think.

I understand there are already calls for his impeachment or resignation.

If they had rewarded you in FiestaWare, that would have been a whole extra room!

In the meantime, I'm sitting here TURNING DOWN great little gigs for spring musicals that are coming in like crazy. In some cases, people have said yes to them and then cancelled -- which, unless you have a solid reason for doing so, is never a good idea. But whatever the reasons, I've had to say no to a couple of really good ones (great $$$ and working with decent people), and it's killing me.

Sorry.

The day, as it was, is done.  I went to the post office, then stopped at 3rd Generation and got a plate of baked catfish, grits with cheese and a baked potato.  After I ate, I drove to WalMart to pick up the remaining meds I needed to acquire.

The day has been beautiful.

Yes DR JANE.  The CPA had our uncle's 2021 taxes finished today, so we sent off the checks for the state and federal taxes.....and the paper about money gifts that resulted in $0 in taxes was sent as well.

The only taxes due in 2022 will be the property taxes until we sell the final house and the income taxes due on the annuities which is the responsibility of ALL of the heirs in the will.

The CPA said a K-1 would be sent to all 24 of us and that it might increase our income by about $5000 - but the income from the annuity cashouts were rolled into the estate, so everyone has gotten their share.....considerably MORE than $5000.

Yes we have been instructed by our attorney to hold back a certain amount - and we have that amount + and of course the proceeds from the sale of the house.

So we plan a partial payout next week.....or ten days.
Then perhaps a second payout in the fall.....and then close the estate at the end of the year after ALL final debts are finished.
