Back from the show and partay. Not as good as last night - one actor was consistently befuddled, and then we lost a mic on our leading man, but he's such a pro he just projected and was fine. We have an emergency plan now should that happen again. Once again, our sound guy who promised he'd be with us for the entire show, left after act one. And before leaving he muted the sound effects channels so we missed the three fx cues - sloppy. Enough of it was fine and the audience seemed to really like it and cheered several numbers. Pretty full house, too - a little different than the twenty people I was told had made reservations. Party was fun. So, on to tomorrow night, which will really be stressful, as it's the one night the gal who's operating sound can't do it. We'll see how that goes, but her replacement has been shadowing her for three nights and actually operated the second act tonight. My fear is that if something fails she won't know what to do. I'm really thinking we should have a professional back-up person on stand-by at all times.
