Unfortunately, she passed away about a year and a half ago.

I am wondering who among you has had cataract surgery.

My doctor at the VA wants me to have surgery on the 9th of May.

In order to do this, I must have an appointment on the 2nd of May, I was told, for preparation.

Oddly, to me, I have THREE appointments on the 2nd of May: One at 9:30, one at 12:30 and one at 1:30.  I cannot imagine having to be briefed by three different offices for one procedure.

I believe one is for anesthesia, but what the other two are I haven't a clue.

Any ideas?

My father, at age 80, and brother Randy have both had the surgery. Came through it nicely.

I'm thinking it will be some form of localized anesthetic to deaden the eye.  That's what I don't know yet.

I believe that was the case when my mom had the surgery DR RON PULLIAM, but I do not remember the details.  I know she met with a couple of doctors.....
