DR John did you find a book for your mother?
Two things that kind of astonished me in Paul Ford's book:[1] that he managed to maintain these high-profile jobs while not being sober[2] the sloppiness with which two major Sondheim scores were recorded (Sunday and Woods). That, and the alternate commentary track from Jonathan Tunick on the Company recording session documentary where they discovered at the end of the day that one of the instruments didn't even have their mic plugged in. One weeps for what was lost and what might have been.
Back from a great show with an absolutely fantastic audience - a little over half a house, which was fine, but they were so vocal and so with the show - cheering and numbers got the biggest applause they've ever gotten. Really fun.
I don’t like it, reverse it!
And thank you also for your kind comments about my new picture
Somehow, or other, I flipped some switch on my Amazon Music page that made the program to seek out similar music after the CD I picked is finished. Now, somehow, I have unswitched it, but I want it back!
