I drove over to my favorite food store and picked up some treats. They have good prepared foods and fabulous desserts. I chose Tres Leches cake, a real indulgence for someone who doesn't handle dairy well. I bought some other things as well.

Tuesday evening greetings!  I am back and will fill you in on where I’ve been, but first:

Happiest of birthdays to DR Jeanne!

Last Thursday Richard and I drove to Grand Blanc, Michigan, where my sister lives.  We got settled into our hotel and went to her house for a nice dinner.

Uvalde isn’t far from San Antonio. I’ve driven out there for dinner before. The news of the school shooting there is horrifying.

:(

I only read the headline without knowing where in Texas it was.  It is so heartbreaking.

It appears that I missed A LOT here on HHW.  I’m glad to hear that DR Elmore’s property and DR JRand’s house have sold and that Vixdad is home from the hospital.  Vibes for everyone who needs them, especially the mother and uncle of DR John G.

DR Jrand, Vibes all goes well until the house closes.  How long do you have to wait for that?

On Friday, while my sister and her husband did some volunteer work, we drove to Tawas, Michigan, in order to see some “big water.”  It was Richard’s first glimpse of Lake Huron.  We met up with Nancy and Jerry at their golf club for a Friday fish fry.

Saturday morning Richard drove Nancy and me to Mary Linda’s parents’ home in Eaton Rapids for Charlotte’s early 2nd birthday party and a baby “sprinkle” for Rob and Mary Linda.

Sunday we all kind of crashed and gave Richard a day off from driving.  Yesterday we went to Port Huron for some more big water and Nancy and Jerry dealt with the aftermath of the car accident he was involved in last week.  We drive home today and are very glad to be here.

So, I survived electro acupuncture. Shocking, to say the least.

The needles were hooked up to a machine that stimulated leg and lower back muscles.

Did you like it better or not as well? Or is it too soon to tell?

Too soon to tell.

Tres leches sounds wonderful. Good choice.

Just tried an Austin-based hamburger joint spreading rapidly across the city. The design of the place is better than the food.
