I had thought I might visit my chiropractor today for a minor tune-up.   Alas, I called and they are closed all this week for vacation. They will reopen Monday.

Ah, well.

From a British news story:

The most boring person in the world has been discovered by University of Essex research - and it is a religious data entry worker, who likes watching TV, and lives in a town.

After examining more than 500 people across five experiments researchers found the blandest jobs are seen as data analysis, accounting, cleaning and banking.

The paper – published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin – also discovered that religion, watching TV, bird watching, and smoking were amongst the dullest hobbies.

The No. 1 dullest hobby was sleeping. I take that as a personal offense.

BK’s two lunches were certainly a lot more balanced than my two cookout meals on Memorial Day. I think I’m still a bit stuffed from that.

The rehearsal formerly known as a performance is, in fact, canceled for tonight - at least for the band and perhaps a few others. I think they’re going to have a li’l put-in piano rehearsal on selected scenes and call it a day. I still don’t know which person tested positive, but maybe they’re working out a replacement. We’ll find out tomorrow.

Are folks in theatrical productions testing for COVID-19 every day as a precaution, or are they testing when they feel ill?

It's overcast here this morning and around 76 degrees.  The weather forecast claims it's mostly sunny (not here, though) and that we'll have a high of 92 degrees.

It looks like rain, but it's possibly just a remnant of a front that passed through overnight.

I must say that I enjoyed OLIVER! last night.

The kids were very good - although the girl who played Oliver was very tall!

Everyone was fine and the character actors all played to the rafters and were very funny.  I most enjoyed Mr. Bumble and Widow Corney...."Then I say the law is an ASS!"

The audience was rowdy - we had about 3/4's of a house which is good for a Wednesday.

That's exactly what it looked like when I got it.  And I'm not getting it "fixed."  It actually fits my middle finger, so it stays bent. ;D

Cool.

My uncle is leaving rehab and going home next Thursday.

That is good news.  Will he have help once he is home?

Beyond his wife? Maybe. Don’t know. His daughter sends texts. They’re not overloaded with information.

This place requires weekly testing one day before each week's (i.e., the weekend, or whatever days are involved) performances resume. We were to have a show tonight, so yesterday was our testing date. I think the other local theeders are requiring the same weekly testing, while the venues that are strictly professional might be doing it daily.
