Joshie came by yesterday for the Gypsy scores, and we had a nice visit. I now know why Wonderful Town is replacing dreadful The Wild Party at Encores!, but I'm saying nothing.

The reason that's been talked about on the chat sites is that the director had a conflicting job at the Public and that WILD PARTY is being delayed to 2026.  I guess there's more to the story.

Maybe a name star became available for WONDERFUL TOWN in this slot?

Today's Word of the Day is one of the most mispronounced of any.

I absolutely hate it when it is turned into a four-syllable word.

It's nothing of the kind.  It has three (count 'em 3) syllables:  MISS-chuh-vuss.

Far too many pronounce it as though it were spelled differently:  Miss-CHEE-vee-uss.  But "vous" is "vuss", and is not "vee-uss".

And no, it has no "alternate" pronunciation.
