I decided late last night that I should also make tuna pasta salad - I had everything but the tuna and pasta, so I did a quick and cheap Instacart order for that and a few other things - needed more butter, some Muenster cheese, which is a good snack, and some mini-Canada Dry diet ginger ale.

I remember in the early 70's, I think, Donald O'Conner had a talk show.....one day his guests were Rod Serling and Keefe Brasselle who had written a "novel" about his experience at CBS.

Rod was talking about his appearance in one of his movies - he had a cameo.

Finally he just started laughing and Donald asked him was was funny.  Rod said:  "We are.  Look at us - a writer trying to an actor, an actor trying to be a writer, and a hoofer trying to be a talk show host."

  Did the other two laugh?

Futzing and finessing took an hour, then I made the tuna pasta salad, and have written nine new pages. I must say, I didn't futz and finesse too much because I actually liked what I'd written. Just smoothed a few things out, fixed typos and missing words, stuff like that. I'm having fun.
