Coup de Chance is my favorite Woody Allen in more than 20 years. It wasn't great, but it was enjoyable.

The score actually included an instrumental version of a song from Here's Love, the mother-daughter number Arm in Arm.

I, too, am watching that on TCM. It’s looking great, and it’s been several years since I’ve seen it. But I doubt I’ll be awake for long.

I'm now ignoring BK's advice and watching Saturday Night. It's possibly worse than he said. It's smug and insufferable. I like the guy playing Garrett Morris.

DR Rodzinski, that’s great to hear, about your fixing up the turntable. You have probably told us already and I apologize for not recalling, but what kind is it? I have two, and I’m embarrassed to say they both need work.

It is a Technics sl-1600 from the 1970s. Refurbished at some point. I bought it in Delaware.

Thank you. I don't know the different models but I often wished I'd gotten a Technics back when it was possible to do so at a good price. They're so highly thought of.

My two are the AR ES-1 from the mid-1980s which I bought new in 1990, and a Dual 1019 from the 1960s that I found in beautiful condition at a community thrift shop. I have an updated, improved motor to install on the AR, I just need to plan a day to install it. The Dual worked well for a while but it needs the whole megillah in refurbishment by a pro. It's in gorgeous cosmetic condition and still works well enough that I know it'll repair beautifully.

Two solid tables. Wonder what your Dual needs in terms of refurbishing.

It probably needs a new idler wheel, and the thing they call a steuerpimple that may or may not be unique to Duals. And probably some grease cleanup and replacement. I might find these are not impossible for me to do, but I wouldn’t try it if not assured of that. They’re a bit complicated to work on.

Been proofing all night and am only at chapter four. Yikes. I thought we'd caught everything on the last go round but no, finding way too many things we didn't catch.

Hi, Jane.

Did you ever try Natural Ophthalmics Women’s Tear Stimulation pellets? I don’t use it much, but it always helps when I do. It’s not instant relief like eye drops — you need to give it a day or two to start working. But it does work. You might want to take it once a week for a while, supplemented by eye drops. It may be hard to find, though.

I have not and you are correct, it is difficult to find.

Good luck, Jane!

Andy Weir fans, did you read Artemis, and if so did you like it?

I liked it, but it's my least favorite of the three books that he's written.
