Dr ChasSmith: have you ever played ASSassins?

Wouldn’t that more appropriately be ASSASSins?

But (see what I did there?) yes. Twice for the same theeder company. I have a fun story with a good punch line about that second time, which I’ll have to tell tomorrow when I’m on the computer with access to my visual aids.

Wasn’t that the one the master himself attended?

I just made something I haven’t had in years. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

I had four slices of bread I needed to clear out. And the jar of peanut butter called my name.

I really liked Smuckers Peanut Butter and Jelly Uncrustables for quite a while.  IIRC, I think it was when I was working in an office.  Very convenient, and you didn't need to take lunch hour to have a tasty lunch.  And the nutrition info looked pretty good, too.

DR JANE I am glad your hearing aids work so well with your new TV machine.

Thank you.  It could still be better.  When we move back into our bedroom we will replace the old tv (one of the woman took it away) and get one with a better sound system.

I missed something. Who is the woman who took away your old TV?

Once in awhile I have a chunky peanut butter sandwich on bread or matzo with apricot preserve.

:)  They look better in person than in the online photos.

When I realized they held me through dinner without snacking, I became a fan.

Creamy vs chunky?  I'm guessing creamy.
Jelly vs jam or preserves- no thanks.
Strawberry vs almost any other berry-no thanks.

I used wild blueberry preserves. It was open and within reach.

My favorite is plum but I haven't found a good plum preserve in years.  For years The Republic of Tea sold a Cinnamon Plum jam that I loved.  I still miss it.

Oregon Grower's sells a good marionberry preserve.  They just don't seem to sell it at my local markets anymore.

I started using apricot preserves when I hiked and took a sandwich for a snack.  It seemed less messy than something dark.  I didn't expect to like it so much.

Just watched Mayday.   I agree that it's pretty bad, BK.  The last 20 minutes were hilarious!

Episode three of Succession season four. It’s fun.

What Rodzinski said above in a different context - "when the kids feel entitled to the glory as if they had anything to do with what their talented parent achieved" -

is the (for want of a better word) icky feeling I got from Succession season 4, which I didn't feel icky about in the previous seasons.

I haven't really said much about it, but I've been trying to figure out a company who might be interested in releasing a 50th anniversary edition of Nudie Musical next year. I don't want to do it myself - I want to license it to someone reasonably, and have then do a new 4K transfer to protect the CRI internegative that is all we have.

So, I called Robert Harris and asked him if he knew anyone at Kino or any other label like that - he said he'd reach out to Don May at Synapse. I'd written Vinegar Syndrome but never even got response. But given the fact that Kino will pretty much put out anything, they seem like a good bet to me and I will ask him to reach out to them.

He then asked me about the original camera negative. When Paramount gave us back the movie, all the elements with to MGM for storage. We have tried many times over the years to find what MGM labs said they couldn't and just had no luck. Well, Harris picked up the phone and called Paramount. And guess what? They never sent it to MGM, only the CRI and prints went there. So, all this time Paramount has had it in their vault and they told Robert they will happily give it back to me, so I'll be e-mailing them as soon as he sends me that information. This is amazing news and we'll really be able to do a proper 4K now and I have our Blu-ray as reference for the color timing and reframing of certain scenes. I can't pay for the transfer, of course, but that's why I'm hoping to license it to someone - they can do all the work and then all I'll need to do is approve it. And when we have the 4K we can really do a proper screening from that.
