Well, you've read the notes, the notes both pondered and wondered, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home.

I had a better night than the one before, thank goodness. I remember none of my dreams, although I think I had one about the 1969 musical Promenade. The cats behaved, although Thatch seemed more restless than usual.

This morning I have a lot of crap to cart to the basement since I had been down there since Friday. After that, I need to work on the A & T notes.

Glad that DR George saved the day last night.

I saw that CD sometime during the move last week, but I couldn't tell you where it is right now.

I think that's the one that has a beautiful hidden track. Craig Carnelia's "Just Where They Should Be."

Elmore, any idea why you have recurring dreams about Promenade?

It's one of my favorite shows and one I had always hoped to direct when I started that community theatre in Ohio, maybe?

Movies I've seen the most:

The Court Jester
Chinatown
Rosemary's Baby
North by Northwest
others.

But - movies I saw over and over again when they first came out - which means I either stayed at the theater (in the days when you could do that), or I just kept coming back to the same theater, or I'd follow the film to various other theaters from first run to the nabes - it might be a surprising list - it is to me:

The High and the Mighty
The Court Jester
North by Northwest
Li'l Abner
Fahrenheit 451 (three times in one day)
What's New, Pussycat
Modesty Blaise (the oddest movie - it really doesn't hold up but back then I found it very stylish and very amusing and I went to ever theater that played it)
That Man from Rio
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg
Sundays and Cybele
The Miracle Worker
David and Lisa

There are, of course, more, but the winner would have to be: West Side Story.

TOD:  The movie that I saw over and over again when it first came out is BREAKING AWAY.

At one point not long ago, a customer service person on the phone needed me to answer one of my online security access questions, and said, well, if you get this one right I'll know it's you, I've never seen this answer in a security question as an all-time favorite movie before - it was BREAKING AWAY.

These days, when designers could technologically do a bicycle race onstage, with people so accepting of projections now  - BREAKING AWAY might make a wonderful musical or stage piece, in the right hands.

I saw Vampire’s Kiss 4 times at the Tara theater in Atlanta and still find Nicolas Cage’s performance to be one of the all-time greats.

Modesty Blaise is indeed stylish. And it doesn’t hold up, but it has something about it for sure.

There's a Tara movie theater in Atlanta?  How have I made it to silver citizen age without knowing this all the years?

I'm a bit sneezy and eye-runny this morning. Methinks...a Benadryl tonight? But I mustn't take it too late because I have to be up early.

I don't want to take it earlier, like now or this afternoon, because I don't want to be groggy for my 45-minute drive to the George Stevens event...and certainly not during it.

For some reason, I really liked a Dean Martin movie called THE SILENCERS when I was very very young, and went to it several times in its first run when I had time to kill.

I wondered, when seeing the movie again many years later, if maybe I had a Dean Martin "crush" back as a kid, or maybe just really liked him a lot from TV.  I know I enjoyed his singing a great deal since my yute.

That would have been 1966, so I had to have been six years old.  I'm astonished they let a 6 year old into the theater on my own for a Matt Helm movie; or maybe the movie was re-released at some later point.
