I've posted these links here, but with over 500 guests here, maybe some of them will click on some of these. (And as they used to say about reruns, if you haven't seen them, they're new to you. )With the Tonys coming up, offering our annual parody video rundown salute to the 2024-25 season's Tony nominations - some things we didn't dare kid, but thought deserved musical comment anyway, other things it felt safe to kid.Very rich theatergoers were a story of the year: SALUTE TO THE INSANE OUT-OF-CONTROL GROSSES FOR nominees GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK and GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS and also non-nominee OTHELLO - feat. David Mamet SRO at the Palace!"We Coughed Up for Shakespeare" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOdZhff2jHsGYPSY - The Colbert show performance, where to online chatters it seemed they'd deliberately chosen to play the emotions of "Rose's Turn" for then performance of "Some People"- We didn't dare do a spoof - so to be totally safe, a revival of our spoof of the psychotic Madame Rose that Imelda Staunton had done in London, "Some Roses"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3YPpAOMV_wJUST IN TIME - This one we DID dare spoof: Since Best Actor nominee Jonathan Groff himself has such open fun making fun of his own sweating and spitting, our parody-tribute to his Bobby Darin."Mack the Knife Parody"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3eaFLReem8A WONDERFUL WORLD: THE LOUIS ARMSTRONG MUSICAL - nominated for Best Actor, James Monroe Iglehart. We offered a parody of the feel-good "What a Wonderful World" - a more realistic feel-less-good "2025 update""What a One-Percent World!"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kjivj2eNMY

Book & Audio notes finished.
Two nights in a row I have woken up with pain in my right eye so I called my eye doctor this morning. I got lucky and he had a cancellation this morning at 10:00. Fingers crossed I'm ok.
Those are all great, Freddie!
Made an appointment at Walgreen's to get my second SHINGRIX shot tomorrow afternoon. Finally!I'd fully intended to do it sooner (I'm still inside the six-month period since the first), but was way too damned busy to take a chance on having even a day or two of fatigue or any other reaction. I'll be very relieved to have it done at last. No one in my family, to my knowledge, ever had shingles, and actually not even anyone close to me, but it's always been on my mind.
I didn't have any reaction to the second shingrex shot. Just the first. And my mom had shingles. She was very very tough. But it was awful for her. And a man at church had it in his eyes.
Asha is hanging on. I don't expect her to recover, though. We didn't get the blood results back. I picked up some moussed foods for her. She wasn't interested.
Sorry to hear that. The late stages of kidney disease itself could do this. Plus, anything else that's wrong.Been there, and I don't look forward to going there again.

Good morning! Last night's movie class was Heaven Can Wait, which I'd never seen before and much enjoyed. It was nice to have something more upbeat compared to most of the other movies we've been seeing.
We got another wonderful review. This is the first review I can ever remember with the chorus complemented for our acting as well as our singing:https://www.almanacnews.com/ae/2025/05/29/review-villain-takes-center-stage-in-west-bay-operas-otello/
Elvis is sitting on the swing.Last night the pair of keets tossed a bell toy and a mirror to the floor of the cage.So I took both items out.....if they don't want them.....okay.
This story keeps getting more and more involved."Over 500 Broadway Artists Release Open Letter Reprimanding Patti LuPoneThe letter also called the American Theatre Wing and Broadway League to disinvite LuPone from the Tony Awards."https://playbill.com/article/over-500-broadway-artists-release-open-letter-reprimanding-patti-lupone
Perhaps DR Rodzinski will weigh in on the matter of embalmers in musical theeder and opera.
