Back from a deliciously delicious dinner at the Smokehouse. Had the filet, which was the best it's ever been, and a baked potato with way too much butter. Tough. It was grand. Instead of clam chowder I had the French onion soup - it, too, was great.

Had a nice moment today. I profiled Richard Moylan in our latest issue, retiring after 40 years as president of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

He wrote me personally today to say how much he loved the article.
