One of the dishes brought was called "Big Mac Casserole," and it did, in fact, have all the flavors of a Big Mac in a 9x13 pan.

That sounds...interesting.  Did you enjoy (or even try) it, Singdaw?

I am back from the pie diner, where - sadly - no one offered me any pie.

I knew I didn't have time today to watch DRAT! all the way through, so I indulged in a few minutes of skipping around and sampling bits here and there. It looks and sounds wonderful, and what everyone is saying about Sydney is absolutely in evidence throughout. I'll be watching the whole thing tomorrow, uninterrupted.

I never think about it normally, but I'd like having something like that to be involved in now and then. Just sharing rehearsal piano duties would be great. I'll have to keep it in mind.

It really is. Watching the show on video, even on a large screen at the movie theeder, didn't do that for me. But a wonderful production like this one, in the flesh, absolutely had me craving it, and had me really missing the House of Pies in L.A. I need to bring some pie back into my life. I mean, at more times than just, say, Thanksgiving.

Thanks for this link! Looks very much like a "if you loved the first one, you'll love this one, and if you didn't, this won't convert you." Which is what I expected since the two films were made at the same time.

We are so lucky in the chorus to be able to do these incredible operas as volunteers with such a stellar professional cast, orchestra, and crew. We usually have 2 or 3 different rehearsal pianists per run.
