We went to Lahaina today and saw some of the devastation caused by the fire. You could still smell smoke in the air. Really heartbreaking.

Wow, I never imagined you could still smell smoke.  I expect it is the same at my nephew's house.

I have no clue when my nephew will be able to return home.  There are homes near him that survived the fire but are toxic and must be pulled down.  Until that happens no one is moving into their homes.

I love a good Caesar with plenty of anchovies in the dressing and on top.

I like it, without the anchovies.  I'll eat them in the dressing but remove them on my salad.

I used to love a wedge salad with bacon and blue cheese in it, but I can’t have the cheese anymore. I used to love spinach salad, but I can’t have spinach anymore. Such are the vicissitudes of life.

I love what is now called a wedge salad, only the way I ate it as a child with thousand island dressing.

I used to like spinach salads and oddly don't care for them anymore.

We got English peas in our box today. I've never had fresh peas before.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I was very proud of myself for figuring out how to "cast" from my phone to my television, so was able to watch Drat! on the big screen.

That's pretty cool, Singdaw!  I know my phone can do it, but I've never had to because I have my TV hooked to my computer as the monitor.

Tonight is George Clooney's play on CNN and MAX, and tomorrow night is the Tonys.

Alas, I shall not be able to watch either program "live."
