I am shopping online for a new toilet brush. That is the extent of my excitement for the day.

The last piece of our new apartment is the replacement of the toilets in the two bathrooms. The present ones are quite old, and, frankly, in need of replacing.

The workmen arrived yesterday to do the deed. They first removed the toilet in the master bath and discovered that the new doesn't "fit" with the existing fittings. So, different models need to be ordered. So we are back down to just one bathroom, which isn't the end of the world, but still annoying. It's a bit of a trek in the middle of the night.

Curious about Speechify. Does anyone here use it, or has used it?

It converts books and documents to audio, and reads them to you. It gives you a choice of about 20 narrative voices. One of which is Gwyneth Paltrow.

Must be on my way to meet Robert Yacko, but I'm not sure I can eat anything. I'll see if there's anything innocuous - maybe poached eggs on white toast would be okay. Would have had a chef salad otherwise.

Good idea.  While I try to avoid it these days, I find that basmati helps my stomach pain.

I paused to compile a few chapters, which need intros and other stuff. I now have six chapters done. Then on to this last profile.

I thought I had lost one of the more difficult profiles to write, causing stress, swearing and sweating. I finally found it in an email that was returned to me as undeliverable. I don’t know what happened, but I am grateful.
