I was sitting the wrong way yesterday morning, and I cannot stand comfortably. In fact, I can barely move. I spent much of the day lying down in hopes things might realign. but no such luck. I'm getting around the apartment, but it's very painful.

TOD:  At least in business environments, I seem to recall that faxing was a much used method of quick communication for about a decade or so before the internet.

Long distance phone calling back then was (relatively speaking) quite expensive back then - unless I have my time frames mixed up.  There were different per-minute rates for different times of the day.  Calling within New York City was quite reasonable, but even phone calls within New York State from New York City to Long Island or Westchester could rack up surprising phone bills.
