Rain steady all morning and it’s picked up even though it was supposed to stop at 9.

From DR Laura:
Quote
I gave him a can of shaving cream to finger paint with. He was doing fine with it, until Grandpa got involved. Those two boys got wild. It was all over the room.

DR John G., I stopped reading The Goldfinch when the drug use among the characters became rampant. A real turn off.

In that video clip that DR Jrand74 posted yesterday, the comments say that the singing was actually done by Eydie Gorme.

The food served included roasted potatoes, hot dogs with trimmings, steak, corn on the cob, and a green salad.

Dessert included ice cream birthday cake and root beer floats and fresh watermelon.

I feel so horrible for the Texas families. The current regime decimated funding for forecasting, degrading the systems, and then fired most of the scientists, and this is the result. Expect more.

TOD, cont'd.

I'm happy to say that, as it turns out, I have that Warner Archive DVD of The Terminal Man, and I've put it on top of the to-be-watched-soon pile. In recent months I've gone through several of those Archive movies that I'd never seen, and it's great fun to see what I've missed over the years. Some turn out to be worthy, and I think only a few were dogs that I've put in the thrift shop pile. I know there are more here, but I'll just have to find what they are by browsing the shelves.

I don't have Andromeda, but Kristi might. I'm thinking that's the one she always liked for the opening caption being her birthday, February 5, 1971.

BK also mentioned Get Carter, which I do have and I just watched it a couple of years ago. Very enjoyable, but it needs a second viewing.

We got a very small veggie box today. Almost all potatoes. A few plums and mangos, and two watermelons. Weird.
