Fun! I forgive Dick his lapse, but “John Cassavetes himself” did not chew the three people out since he was one of the three (Ben Gazzara and Peter Falk of course the others). Per Cavett’s earlier telling, it was a producer who did the chewing.

DR Freddie - just read that there will be on further (and final) season of Grantchester, beyond the current one.

This seems to be something that really happened.

"Netanyahu nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize"
https://www.axios.com/2025/07/08/trump-nobel-peace-prize-israel-netanyahu-nomination

Of course he would.  My feeling for him are almost as strong as my feelings for our president.

A love that knows no bounds. Because it doesn’t even begin.

Morning congestion, of course, but I'm hoping once that clears up that things are a bit better, unlike yesterday.

Ginny, I think the neurologist will hopefully figure it out - I know about Belle's palsy because my Daisy Mae in Li'l Abner had it.

Vibes the congestion gets better today.

My bout with cancer in 2017 - discovery, surgery, radiation, chemo, recovery.

I am very lucky and I had the best doctors ever.

TOD:  The worst would be having sepsis in June 2019, where I went to the ER with Skip on a Monday and after a few tests, was told by the doctor that I had to have surgery right away that evening, no time to think about it or get a second opinion.

Very scary.  I know the feeling of wanting but not being able to get a second opinion.  That was my situation when my shoulder was basically destroyed.

I was lucky that the doctor on call was at a practice across the street from the hospital and I knew they had an excellent reputation.  Somehow, while drugged up on morphine, I worded my question to the nurse and got the response that the doctor was excellent.

Even though my shoulder has left me in constant pain and a bit disabled, I don't consider it the worse health issue I have, and I guess it was really an injury, not an illness.

In 8th grade I was very sick with a virus.  I remember my mother was uncharacteristically scared.  I wonder if they feared I had cancer.  What I remember most was the severe nausea, extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, and leg pains.  I have continued to battle these symptoms on and off since then.
