High Society is the only Bowery Boys film to receive an Academy Award nomination.

It came out in 1955 and was mistakenly put on the ballot for Best Story due to the other  High Society coming out. The guys who wrote the Bowery Boys movie withdrew their nomination, though it would have been more fun if they had not.

It's still too damned humid here, but the weather turned beautiful yesterday afternoon and we had us a great Thursday night show. It looks to be good for tonight through Sunday, too, so we shall hope that holds.
