It is already 80 degrees headed for 87 degrees - but that isn't 93 degrees.

Started a movie called What’s So Bad About Feeling Good? Never heard of it before. Stars George Peppard, Mary Tyler Moore, Dom DeLuise, John McMartin, Susan Saint James, Nathanael Frey and more. Choreography by Michael Bennet. Music by DeVol.

Our sentiments here, exactly, DR Jrand74.

For now, good days and great evenings, even while this accursed humidity hangs around. But it's SO much better in the 80s than in the 90s.

Last night I took my Zoom audio recorder to see how well or how badly I could capture some audio from the show. It's a "pit" recording, so forget about balance - it only hears what I hear - but in places with light accompaniment and a clear solo, such as in "Another Suitcase", it's pretty okay. I probably can't improve on it, but I'll catch another one tonight and/or next week and we'll see what's what.

Tonight's a very special one, the ASL signed performance with two signers - the woman we've seen here before, and a man. Someone said she was a theeder person in a previous life and had even been in a production of EVITA, so I'll have to find out more about that.

Rory Kinnear is quite wonderful. Such a sad ending for him in real life.

You must mean Rory's father Roy.

I mentioned the other day I didn’t care for drug use in a lot of novels. I guess it’s not much different from alcohol abuse in works of older generations.

The Fitzgeralds would have likely have been drug users if they had been from a future generation.

That Follies from France is conducted by my friend David Charles Abell, whom those of us on the Musical Theatre project John McGlinn and The Packard Humanities Institute began in 2001, wanted to take over when McGlinn was sacked.

I saw Graham Bickley in London in 1998 oin a dreadful musical called Maddie, based on a Jack Finney novel and the Mandy Patinkin movie Maxie. If my memory is correct, my friend Martin Connor directed it.

I have a two-disc set of the Maddie score. Dreadful.

There were so many things wrong with the production. At one point a date is discovered under the wall paper. It was something like Dec. 5, 1925. Only the date on the set was this: 05/12/25! The show took place in San Francisco, not London.

My sister and her husband bought me a portable air conditioner that I will be trying out soon.  First I have to freeze some water in four small containers that lie in the top bin of the contraption.
