I mustn't imagine him/her finding his/her way upstairs to the bedrooms later. Mustn't even think of that. No, I mustn't. Not ever.

That is unlikely, and unless it is a dangerous spider that bites I wouldn't worry about it.

No, it was a "wood" or "wolf" spider, one of those kinds you see outside now and then, but though scary looking because of their size, they're not harmful to humans.

Still...

Oh yes, we had a mini (3 or 4) invasion in our first Michigan home.  Craig & I captured them all and released them outside.

Of the shows you mentioned, The White Lotus is the only one we haven't seen.  We stopped watching  The Penguin, Severence, and The Last of Us.  We initially liked The Studio, we are now losing interest in it.

I have a black widow who lives behind the piano. She leaves carcasses of crickets and flies in return for her free rent. She's very shy. She hides if I accidentally disturb her web.

A Black Widow would make me nervous.  I gather Leonard leaves her alone.  I believe their reputation is worse than truth.

The Black Widow spider I found in my childhood bedroom was hiding inside of one of my board games.  Once I opened the box it did not stay still.  At bedtime I went in to my bedroom to get what clothes I needed, since no way was I sleeping in there, and found it crawling up my bedspread.  My parents captured it.

I still didn't sleep in there that night.  I did return the next day
