Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of assorted biscotti, and now it is time for you to post until the assorted cows come home.

Today, my friend Shelly and I are going to see The Spitfire Grill at Lakewood Playhouse, about a half-hour north of here (it's where TAO performed The HEAD!!! That Wouldn't DIE! a few months ago).  I love this show.  I have the cast recording (with Liz Callaway!) and I've seen two other productions, both of which were very well done.  I don't doubt that this production will be good, too.

Another so-so night of sleep. Too many aching joints and leg pains. Annabelle has returned for the nonce to her princess pillow beside me and abandoned her mountain chalet, where Stella spent several hours. Back in Nov-Dec 2017, when I was having such issues with a semi-feral baby Thatch, DR Laura cazlled it accurately. That little baby, who drove me mad with his behavior, hostility, and continuous health issues, now runs to me when I call his name and wants to sleep as close to me as possible. I never would have guessed that.

I saw The Birds at Middetown's Paramount Theatre - what a wondewrful movie house! - on its first day, as I recall dimly. At hjte time I was disappointed since it was so far from its source, a story by Daphne du Maurier, but I've since then come to love it on its own terms. But, boy, is that sequence with the dead man's eyes pecked out still a shocker, just like the dead man in Jaws; they both still give me the jitters.

DR George, your story brought back memories of family cookouts and picnics from over 60 years ago. I don't think about my family much, but I was certsinly waxing nostalgic when I read your posts this morning.

But that's tomorrow, not today. Today is for projects like giving the musical equipment a good cleaning, scanning some color slides for Vintage L.A. on Facebook, shopping for some fun food and drink, and settling down into watching something good or a couple of somethings good this evening.
