Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland 132, and now it is time for you to post until the 132 cows come home.

After a really good night of slrrp, last night was the opposite. The cats were fine, and I can't blame them. My body is the problem.

It's nice to hear the show went well, but I'm sorry about the audience. Perhaps it's just a summer thing: vacations, after being out on a hot day at work or the beach, who wants to go out again. Maybe it's a Wednesday curse?

TOD
My favorite Disney film scores are Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and Mary Poppins. I love Bambi, Dumbo, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and The Sleeping Beauty, but I don't think the scores are consistently good. For me, the best music in Bambi is the orchestra score, not the songs, and in the case of The Sleeping Beauty, whose music is adapted from Tchaikovsky's ballet score, I don't think the music adaptors-composers are up to it; I'd have asked Wright and Forrest.
Songs I love outside of  Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and Mary Poppins:
Love is a song that never ends (Bambi)
When I see an elephant fly (Dumbo)
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah (Song of the South)
The second star ti the right (Peter Pan)
Bibbity-bobbity-boo (Cinderella)
The ballad of Davy Crockett

Glad to hear the show was great.

A lot of people in my area still see the current low audience attendance as a holdover from the pandemic. In that year and a half, too many people stopped going out ... PERIOD. A huge audience was lost. Shows, plays, movies, you name it. It's sad, but also infuriating.

The Big Heat (no, not the movie) is back. We'll get to 90 degrees today, 95 or 97 or higher tomorrow, and about 90 again on Saturday. All of it with very high humidity, of course, which is what makes it notable in the first place.

I'm going to mow some more "lawn" this morning and maybe have to finish up tomorrow morning. But that's probably all the outdoor work I'll get done till next week.

A question for the class:

Does anyone here follow the Facebook page called The Oscar Hammerstein Museum & Theatre Education Center?

I see their posts in my feed, but they never get anything but a few "likes". There's never a single comment. By anyone. I clicked on Comment just to see if it's working, or if it's restricted in some way, but it opened up like normal and seemed ready for me to say something. Just curious.

Andy Hammerstein posts occasionally on his own page, mostly about his painting or maybe something else going on, but he doesn't post on that other page either. He's listed as a follower, though.

Sounds like a fun Kritzerland show I wish I’d been close enough to see.
