Well, those if us who care.

I was sorry to hear about Joel’s passing. We never met, but I certainly heard a lot about him when we were all teens. Bruce and Joel shared a bedroom and it was very contentious. I’m pleased that they became friends later in life. And Joel writing songs! That was a surprise!

RIP Joel.

So now that the big reveal with the book has happened, I will post a small reveal of what I did this afternoon that the book totally inspired:

I took out The Parent Trap and watched it straight through, probably for my first time since ... I dunno, when I was a teen? I kid you not. Of course I saw it a lot as a kid, and of course I've seen clips all through the years, but I swear it's probably been that long since I really watched the movie. Isn't that ridiculous? What's also ridiculous is how much of the story (other than the key twins scenes and of course the songs) I'd more or less forgotten.

It was a wonderful return to what I will unabashedly declare is an absolutely wonderful movie. Must get back to more of those.

I, too, feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. My wounds are healing as they should, but I’m wiped out. I attribute it to lack of sleep, allergies, surgery, and being burnt out to start with. I have a light week ahead — and hope it stays that way!

I’ve never watched The Parent Trap. I should rectify that.

Guess who now wants to negotiate? Yes, the difficult seller of the condo I wanted. His wonderful tenants have given notice. That changes things a bit. I’m still interested, but at the price he said he’d accept and the terms in our offer. We shall see.

Bruce, if you need to check around for the best price on your prescription, don't forget to check Costco.

Also Amazon.

We ran dehumidifier and floor fans and by yesterday morning decided it was dry enough to set off

Water heaters can be such a pain! Glad Vixdad was able to get a plumber out so quickly do you could go on your trip. Travel vibes to you.

Jrand, your Humana plan used to cover ALL your prescriptions? You have a tiered plan now? My plan with UnitedHealthCare is tiered, but I don’t need it often.

Thank you, DR Jeanne.  I do, indeed, have a colorful cardiologist.

Sorry I missed you when you were here.  Vibes to you and good luck with the condo owner!

Waiting on the habitually late Barry Pearl. Supposed to be here in one minute, but I think he just left his house - which, depending on traffic, is a good twenty minutes from here. Getting into a restaurant then becomes dicey.

Had the ubiquitous computer freeze - this time it wasn't a week between them, it was a week and a half. But I have to get a new computer and that's that. And I'm thinking that will happen in the next week or two before this thing gives up the ghost completely and I lose stuff.

I will go to the Apple Store and ask a lot of questions - mostly between dealing with an all in one like mine but a smaller screen, which I don't think I'd like - or a Mac Mini and a monitor - I've been researching those and for basically the same price as the all in one, I can get a really nice monitor and the two terabyte Mac Mini - that isn't cheap but the monitor isn't that much so if you add the two TB to the all in one it comes out to about 2300 with tax and that's what this would be - maybe a tiny bit more. Everyone loves the Mac Mini and I don't want to give up my 27-inch monitor.
