I think I paid $800 for my Windows 10 computer with a 1.5 TB hard drive.

But even if it cost less, I don't know much of anything about Macs, so I wouldn't want to have to learn a whole new computer system...but that's just me.

Not because it's crapping out on me, but because Windows 10 won't be supported after October...but you can pay $30 for another year of critical updates, so it's not really going to be unsupported.

Danny Peary got a lot of his info from a magazine interview we did back in the day - I think the mag was called Filmmaker's Newsletter. The first I knew about Cult Movies 2 was when I saw it in the store. It was a complete surprise to me and a nice one.

By the beginning of the 80s it was clear it had become a major cult thing due to cable and repertory theaters and midnight shows. I suppose the defining moment for me was when I got a fan letter from Chicago saying there was a John Smithee fan club.

It’s interesting to see what films in those books had “legs” and what ones have completely faded from most consciousness. You don’t hear much about King of Hearts from 1967 or Deep End from 1971 these days. The ones in volume 2 are all pretty well still in the culture.
