Of course, always unexpected things - I had to get a few adapter cords from USBA (my old computer) to USBC (the new ports). A new wireless keyboard because to charge you need the USB C cord, and a new trackpad for the same reason. Can't wait for the thing to arrive and then the guy in the back house will help me set it up. He'll come before that and get everything on the computer into the cloud - I now have 2tb of storage there and the computer has a bit less than 1tb. That way, everything can be ported quickly from the cloud. In case something goes awry we can always wipe it and do computer to computer and I have THAT cord, too.

Congrats on the new computer!

Great to have a technically savvy neighbor!

As for me, Wordle:  5/6. I had two other words with the same letters except for the first.

After a week off we're back to French cinema class tonight. This is one I've really been looking forward to: Buñuel's The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie. I know of it from Sondheim's Here We Are but I've never seen the original film (or The Exterminating Angel). Should be fun!

I just got caught in a weird time warp. I was on page two of today’s notes when I received a text from Bruce that he’d bought the new computer. You’re not going to post about it, but wait for the notes? He’d posted, but that was one page 3 and I hadn’t seen it yet. Oy! It’s easy to forget that the posts aren’t in real time!

I’m looking forward to him having the whole package and be fully up and running.

Has anyone heard from Iris at all recently?

It feels like it's been quite a while.

DR Rodz, were you all OK during the tsunami? Here in LA it was a big nothing, but was it nothing for you?

Hi, Freddie.
Thank you. I’m healing, but grumpy because it seems so slow.

My first thought when seeing the guy splayed out on the road was to wonder if he was even alive.  I'm glad that his is.  Hopefully, he's able to recover and that it was an accident and not some suicide attempt.

Hoping he has a full recovery.

Sadly, it turns out that he died on the way to the hospital:

Please, universe, put me on the list for some Grover's Corners. And BK's idea would be wonderful.

PM for MP3s has been sent. :)

I just saw that my song list and the list provided do not sync up. The list says there are 20 tracks. The CD has 14.

The MP3s that I have are 24 tracks.  They correspond to the CastAlbums.org listing:

https://castalbums.org/recordings/Grovers-Corners-/5239

The image within the listing, however, has the title as "Grover's corner"...singular. ::)

I was just about to post this in several posts to get us to page seven to finish why I didn't have time to read:

After the yardwork, we played a couple of games of Phase 10 (of course), and my niece and I left.  Then she realized that her cat Henry went missing :o so I came back and spent some time driving around the neighborhood looking for him, then my mom spent some time driving around the neighborhood looking for him, then my sister and her daughter came back over spent some time walking around the neighborhood and he FINALLY showed up!  He RAN into the house like he was being chased, but nothing was following him, so he got scared at some point...but he's home.

I'm relieved Henry is home.

Thanks, Jane.  So is my mom!

Oh my, a sad story you would have preffered not to see.  I hope he will be ok.

Sadly, he is not. :(

By the time we got to the coast all was calm.  Craig is a big Goonies fan and it was fun taking him to Astoria.  We also went to the little Oregon Film Museum which is in the old jail.

Very cool!
