Having done a little Google search, I now think the Migration Assistant is the way to go and that's from computer to computer rather than the backup drive. I have a Thunderbolt 4 cable, but I have no idea if that works in a mac. We can also do it wirelessly but that will take much more time. The vid I watched that used the Tunderbolt cable took ten minutes. I also got an email saying that we can have an expert on the phone or via chat the entire time. I'll offer that to the back house guy, just to be safe. I watched a video about the set-up and it did seem very easy.
