DR Elmore mentioned USB ports. I think Apple has remained more reasonable with the Minis than with the other systems, as far as continuing to provide a decent number of ports in general. One of the reasons many musicians like to keep the older laptops going is because of the lack of ports on some of the models that came along after mine. You can so easily get into an adaptor-and-hub nightmare, which is likely what DR Elmore is describing.

That was true for MacBook Pros a few years ago but the current models are as port-rich as the older ones. They're just using USB-C where the older ones used USB-A. Lots of newer devices are USB-C now, and the USB-A to USB-C converters are pretty small and handy. If you use an external monitor, those tend to come with lots of ports too nowadays. No more external hubs for me.

Normally, I get the softcover test book in about a week - then the hardcover a couple of weeks later, although that's taken longer the last two books. Today, I got the hardcover ahead of the softcover - a first and boy does it look great.
