DR George, do you still work? I don't think you've mentioned the library in any of your posts for at least a year now.

Singdaw, you are quite observant...and I've avoided mentioning it because, well, I don't know why. ::)

I’ve avoided asking about it because I don’t know why either! But it sounds like a happy thing.

I actually quit my job and took some time to look for a job, then not do any job searching, but I'm officially drawing my retirement, so I have all the time in the world. :) This means I did retire earlier than normal, but the pay difference really isn't that much and it definitely was worth it.  I just got in a rut at work and couldn't get out, so I left.  But my mortgage and car are paid off, so I really don't have a lot of expenses.

I did likewise. Congratulations and best vibes for your future journeys.

Miracle Mile has Mare Winningham in addition to Anthony Edwards, right? I liked that movie.

I made it to the Hill Country winery at 6:50 am. I was down the worst road imaginable. I feared my car would not make it.

It was very hot by the time we finished, but we did get all of the grapes snipped.

I made it to the other winery by 12:40, time enough to say hi to everyone and learn the names of the new panelists, Andy and Andre.

The two talks went by quickly. We tasted a lot of rose’.  People asked intelligent questions on both panels, which made for a lively discussion.

What type of wine will they be used for and was this a volunteer job?

I’m home in my very own bed. The cremation convention flamed out about noon. I purposely had a late flight in hopes of visiting my cousin in Phoenix and my Uncle Bill who just turned 90. I’d missed his big birthday party at the family picnic in Indiana, but caught him in Phoenix where he lives with my cousin and her husband. Plus my Aunt. A good visit, many memories shared.

I had a flight yesterday, too. I might have passed you in the airport.

I had a whirlwind trip to California yesterday. A flight in the evening, a meeting today, and a flight home.
