George asked about my cousin's traveling from The Bronx to go to synagogue every Saturday in Manhattan: How far does she travel? Does it take very long? It's quicker than so many people's commuting from the outer boroughs to their jobs in Manhattan. The Express Bus, once on the bus, takes about 20-25 minutes to go from Throggs Neck to Manhattan on the East Side, then she has a pleasant (if the weather is cooperative) walk from the bus stop to the synagogue on the Upper West Side.
This song from the "Writing on the Wall" album by Bucks Fizz feels like it referred (years in advance) to today's Notes. "I Hear Talk"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dZnWPYXd_s"And still I can’t believe what’s going roundI don’t believe you’d ever let me downI hear talk, I hear the writings on the wall"And later (in the bridge) references "Chinese whispers circulate"
Today we are going to see "Let the Good Times Roll."
Did some proofing and frankly I'm ready to just give up with this proofing. From eight to now, ten, I did four pages. That is just NUTS. We'll see how far I get today.
From George:Oh, my goodness! QuoteI’ve just had the craziest job interview of my lifeOh my. The women was impressive. Maybe that video will get her a good interview.

Yea, or Nay?
Made a millionaire pie. It’s in the freezer chilling down.
Hi, John!
It was only supposed to get up to 90 today. It’s 95 and could be climbing.
Keith got Wordle in three
Nay from me as I prefer the center pieces of brownies.
I enjoyed Let the Good Times Roll. It was short on plot, but it showcases New Orleans and the culture very well.
By the slice:
Hello, everyone.
The condo saga continues. In our last episode we were at a stalemate. The seller refused to pay buyer’s commission, about $13k, and I wasn’t about to pay it on top on an already high sales price. Then the tenants gave notice. Suddenly, the seller wanted to sell. He’s now willing to pay buyer’s commission, but he’s hiked up the sales price by $5k. Gawd! I requested a second walk-through, which happened last Thursday. Quite helpful. I didn’t spot anything that could give me leverage on pricing, but we learned that what we thought was a built-out in the bedroom and which I’d planned to demolish isn’t a build-out at all. It’s cement and structural. I have a couple ideas on how to handle it, though.I’m trying to make this work.

A burglar broke into our house last night.
I didn't shoot him; I just focused the red laser dot on his forehead.
Our 3 cats did the rest.
Congratulations, DR John G., on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!
What do you call a Medieval spy?
