But Miss Annette was certainly beginning to show the effects of her MS.

The Wikipedia page said that's why she couldn't agree to a sequel.

And I love the story she told in her book. She would be out with her husband and friends - having a drink and smoking a Lark cigarette. Someone would always stop at the table and say: "Why, Annette, I didn't know you smoked and drank."

And she would always reply: "I also have three children, guess what else I do?"

I always liked Mississippi Mermaid, which I saw when it came out, as I saw all Truffaut back then, mostly because of my love for The Soft Skin and Fahrenheit 451 - the latter has one of the most shameful Blu-ray transfers ever.

Thanks for reminder, and I'm relieved to hear you say that. When I got it after years of seeing only a DVD, I wondered why they had even bothered. What is up with that?

Looks like Pajama Party has to be gotten on an out-of-print Blu-ray or on the old separate DVD.

I've never seen Back to the Beach. I'll keep it in mind after I've been through these others.

As Covid is reported to be coming back in NYC, PLEASE watch out for the elders in your life.

Remembering Dad, Naftali Landau, whom everyone called Nat, for his heavenly birthday, born Sept. 7 1920.  He passed away of Covid at 100-1/2 Feb. 2021, and given longevity in the family, Covid clearly cut his life shorter than it should have been.  It's a "mystery" that even with 24/7 care, he caught Covid and hadn't been vaccinated even as late as Jan. 2021, when at 100, he logically should have been among the earliest eligible for the vaccine.  (His caregiver was a Miami company, which may relate to Florida's lax Covid precautions, I think.)

I applied for a couple of jobs but didn't get interviews, but just doing research on what one needs to put on resumes nowadays, and what one should do, say, how to dress, etc., if you get an actual interview was really scary.  Everything seems so specific and one wrong move could put you at the bottom the the list.

It sounds scary, especially after so many years of not having interviewed.
