The one absolutely positive thing that happened yesterday is that I found my birth certificate and finished all of my senior citizen application, which Jen will post for me today.

Very good news, Larry!

Congrats to DR Elmore on finding the birth certificate.

Whenever I can't immediately lay my hands on something like this, I get quietly frantic, and can't think of anything else until I find the apparently brilliant place I left it in last time.

A few years ago, I sent away for an official copy of my birth certificate.

I paid the extra money (not very much...maybe $15) to actually get two copies.  I have one and my sister has the other.

DR George, I hope you don't hurt yourself falling to your knees.  Can you add padding to your pants?

Yes, they have knee pads for us.  I'm not the only one who has to fall, so several of us will need them.

Jane or singdaw or anyone who watches streaming shows - are you planning to watch the new 6-episode series THE GIRLFRIEND on Amazon Prime?  It sounds like an interesting though maybe ambitious idea, that half of each episode is from the point of view of the guy's mother who's suspicious of his new social-climbing girlfriend, the other half of each episode from the point of view of the girlfriend.

I don't plan to, no. But thanks for raising awareness.

I certainly don't condone violence. But I'm not sorry about Mr. Kirk. He was pure evil, in my opinion.

R.I.P. Polly Holliday - Feels like we on HHW were talking ALICE not that long ago.

"Polly Holliday, a Sassy Waitress on the Sitcom ‘Alice,’ Dies at 88
'Kiss my grits,' her character, Flo, was known to say. But that high-profile role was just one facet of a long, busy stage and screen career."

Oh, no. :(

Skip this post if you're having lunch.

I couldn't understand the results of my stool sample test from a few weeks ago, and I'm hoping it doesn't indicate a need for a colonoscopy.  It's called a "Fit Kit" which sounds like a fun test -  but the F in Fit stands for Fecal.

I'd like to think I'd have been called if a colpnoscopy were warranted.  I guess I'll find out this afternoon.

Been there...done that. ::)

Here’s the link:

It sounds like a pop version of the song, not the interpretation that one would (or should, in my opinion) sing in the show. :-\

If you have a history of polyps, even if you don't have any now, you are more likely to get a positive result on this test.  Many other issues can cause a positive test.

It is very nice.  Plus the style of the other stopper kept holding water.  This one is much better.

I pray that Charlie Kirks killer turns out to be a person he influenced to vote for T and is now disillusioned over what is happening.

Agreed.

My doctor said the result didn't indicate a need for a colonoscopy.  He said I should take the Fit kit test again in a year, though.
