I think George’s take, pop song version, is what I called Disney princess.

It’s a little too commercial network, but the acting is great.

Tonight, we blocked and ran "Board of Governors," and I and a few other "customers" were added to "Bring On the Men."

It sounds like a pop version of the song, not the interpretation that one would (or should, in my opinion) sing in the show. :-\

Maybe that's what it's supposed to be, or maybe the new book has a different take on things. I suspect it will change. They don't even start previews for another month yet, these are all early teasers. I'm seeing it the week it opens, in case it has a similar fate to the original Broadway run. I'm more concerned that they've cast the tenor as the baritone and vice versa.

I've been reading about this killing today and the breast-beating of the MAGA crowd about how it's always the leftists causing this. Funny how they don't mention Melissa Hortman and her husband (I think I've got the name right) Democrat lawmaker shot to death, or the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband. And funny, when Trump cannot deflect the conversation away from something that can truly hurt him, there are two attempts to shoot him and now this - and what is no one talking about anymore. I hate to have these thoughts, but have them I do. Nothing would surprise me anymore. Violence bets violence and there should be no place for it on either side.

BK, you're not the only one with these thoughts.  A few people online and on MSNBC were saying the exact same thing.

Her version very easily could just be the teaster version.  Hopefully, if a cast recording is made (and I hope that one is), they'll rerecord it and it'll all sound of a piece.

My buddy that I met singing in a community theater concert version of Chess doesn't think this Broadway production will end well. But I'm an eternal optimist.

But switching the baritone and tenor parts is kinds weird.  Maybe the actors fit the "types" better than their voices? :-\
