I had a dream, which woke me up. They had moved everything in the church kitchen and had thrown, including major appliances, and threw out everything I use -- while we were in the middle of preparing for an event.

Oh my, that is not a good dream.

The cookie dough we made during Vacation Bible School has been in the freezer. I'll bake the cookies today during the worship service so the cookie scent will waft through the building.

Yum.

Now.....as for me....last night at 7:05 p.m. my sister messaged me that she had a migraine and would be able to drive to the theeder.

And there was not enough time to ask someone else....so I missed the show.

Oh well.

I'm sorry.

Glad you had a good time with your friends, DR George. That's a lot o' food, and a lot o' talk!

Thanks, Singdaw!  We had a good time.

The trouble with potlucks is that when everyone brings something, it takes up so much room on the tables, and it's a scramble to get everything heated up or keep it warm.

That is a problem.

Happy Sunday to one and all!  On the new Broadway Radio Show, Tony Award winner Ted Sperling joins me to chat about last season's Broadway production of Floyd Collins and the amazing history of this beloved show.  The new Broadway Cast Recording is now out on CD for those of you who prefer to own CDs!

Okay for today, why don't we all post Hollywood anecdotes that we may have read in the past that are still interesting today.....

Dickie Moore wrote that he was hired for MISS ANNIE ROONEY to give Shirley Temple her first screen kiss. He was very nervous....he had NEVER kissed a girl in his life.

On the first rehearsal he was very tentative and Shirley grabbed him and gave him his first open mouthed kiss. "Come on." she said. "Let's go."

The Director said, "Okay let's try it again, and this time, Dickie, you be the boy."

It turned out to be a nice chaste kiss on the cheek......

There are four more performances and I may take a chance at driving to one of them.....and just go slow coming home.

Would car service be very expensive?

Had hot dogs for lunch - they caught on fire so there were a bit charred and gross, but I dutifully at them. I had to douse the fire out with a cup of water.

Japanese dogs? You can get seaweed on them and things, I don’t know. Mine was just normal but really tasty.
