Took a nap.

I'm about to take a nap before I work barback for ABRA CADABRA, an ABBA tribute band at the Washington Center later this afternoon.

I think that this group has been here before.  I also think it's kinda weird that this group has back-up dancers when the real group never did. :-\

Had hot dogs for lunch - they caught on fire so there were a bit charred and gross, but I dutifully at them. I had to douse the fire out with a cup of water.

They caught on fire?? :o How were you cooking them?

LOL.  I guessed he fried or broiled them.

I cook the dogs in the oven on broil. I have to use the lower temp I think or move the rack down.

One of my guesses :)

Enjoy the cake.

I woke up thinking today was Monday. I was doing my usual Monday things, writing a to-do list, when I realized I’d missed a day! OMG! I’ve never done that before! Sundays are sacred to me, a Me Day. I certainly don’t want to miss it. I’m back on track now.

Glad you are back on track and enjoying your sacred day.

The anniversary party went as expected. One couple from years ago came. A couple and a single visited, but did not stay for the dinner.

The Big Cheese from the district office preached, but I was in the kitchen baking cookies and making drinks. He's the equivalent of a bishop, I guess. But we don't call them that.

We also don't call them The Big Cheese. That's just what I call him when he's not around.

DR Laura thanks for the report on your anniversary party.  In total, how many people do you think were there?

Maybe 60 or so people. That's about 2.5 hours of dishwashing.

Sounds like enough people to make it a real party!

Thanks to all for yesterday’s vibes and commiserations. I am less stressed now.

That's great to hear!
