A few days shy of her 92nd birthday - born Sept. 17, 1933

Pretty good.  I hope she was well until near the end.

R.I.P. Patricia Crowley at 91, maybe best known to my generation as the star of TV's  "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" (based on the novel by Jean Kerr and the movie starring Doris Day and David Niven)

Theme from "Please Don't Eat the Daisies"

I watched the show in the beginning but didn't stay with it.  I liked the movie much better.

Because the move came out before I went to Jr. High and met Flip, I didn't realize until years later that he was in it.  I was watching the movie when I realized it :)

It says on wikipedia that Flip retired from acting in 1972.  But quite a lot of roles before that!

Watching Jack Benny reruns one of our favorite episodes was Jack at Supermarket which, to our delight, Flip was also at the supermarket.

BK, the star rating thing on Barnes & Noble looks like it's resolved.

Jane, thanks for finding the instructions on how to fix it!

I remember lots of broiler fires growing up.  I think the fact that we lined the broiler pan with tin foiler helped the fires.  My mother always turned the fire off.  We either put something on top of the pan or just shut the door.

What I don't remember is what my mother was doing when she set the kitchen curtains on fire.  They weren't near the stove.  I remember walking home and seeing the fire truck race past me with the sirens on.  To my surprise the truck was at my house when I arrived.  All was good before they even got there so I missed all the excitement ;D

This morning turned into hell. The only thing worse would be if I slipped and fell in the bathtub. I have to ask the building management to send in a tile se set the towel rack back in position, look for a pretty new porcelain water dish for the cats to replace the one that was fractured when the towel rack holder fell onto it and broke it, I have to mop the bathroom mess up, and then get to the mess I was planning to tidy up today. Shit.

Noooooo!!!! :o

LOL, not for me.  I had no clue the truck passing me was heading to my house, and there wasn't even any smoke by the time I arrived home.

Two people shared posts to my page of them reading Richard and Me. I love when that happens. One of them is the divinely talented Anastasia Barzee.

The Barnes and Noble page for "Richard and Me" is pretty easy to navigate to put reviews up over there.  I just had gotten confused about clicking on the star rating, and maybe had done that a little too quickly, but it's really quite simple.

So that looks fixed.
