We're back from my 50th high school reunion, which was great fun.

I like school reunions.  I'm glad you had a great time.

One of my classmates since elementary school is a professional caterer. She made all the desserts in her Residence Inn hotel room, and they were yummy!

We also took an excellent tour of downtown Detroit. We were happy to see Detroit doing so much better than at our last reunion ten years ago.

I'm glad to know that it has continued to improve.  We were last there seven years ago and it seemed to be thriving.

Now here is how you make a Detroit style pizza. Note that dark brown crust from the carmelized cheese, which works thanks to the shape of the pan. This is from Loui's, the absolute pinnacle of this style since 1977.

Our sons love Detroit style pizza.  I don't know if I ever had it from Loui's.  That looks good.

We also made it to the Motown Museum. I'd never been there before. I had no idea that while I was getting allergy shots at Henry Ford Hospital as a kid, all these great records were being made just a half mile down the road.

Go there on your next visit then! They're busy expanding it with a whole new building, but they'll still keep a separate tour of the houses and Studio A, which can only fit 20 people at a time.
