Well, you've read the notes, the notes were curious and a case, and now it is time for you to post until the curious cows come home.

DR Rodzinski, do you remember where your steak dinner was in Anaheim? I used to be at the Anaheim Convention Center every January for NAMM and have fond memories of many meals with colleagues there.

BK, thank you for that most excellent and vivacious birthday greeting. Yep, 79 today. I have entered my 80th year and it's a pleasure to spend  part of ithere with some of my favorite people.

It's going to be a bit tense here at 202 West 82nd Street. Ann, who has blown me off this week with promises to take some books to the post office for me, and I are currently at odds because of her broken promises and my frustration since the middle of August over getting these books shipped.

Yesterday was a weird, unsettling day. Part of it is my usual pre-birthday depression, and the other was made up of hiccups in my daily existence, beginning with Ann not showing up - again! - to run her promised post office errand. Then, wee had no hot water all day, and at 4:00, MSNBC refused to broadcast. The TV screen went black for maybe 5-7 minutyes, then a commercial played and the TV sprang to life, only to go back to black when the program returned. After maybe 30 minutes of this BS, I called Spectrum and they were completely inept.

Also last night, John asked:

How far is Issaquah from you, George?

It's supposed to be about an hour and 15 minutes away, but probably isn't more an hour and a half (depending on traffic).

I notice that I have a go-to filler phrase "and that kind of thing" - and for variety, I threw in a "and things like that."  I wonder if I do that when I'm not on Zoom.

That was a shlep for you then, when you came to see "The Last Starfighter" reading in 2006 and then workshop in 2008 at the Village Theatre in Issaquah.

But I guess we were all younger then.

Shifting my knees was certainly easier twenty or thirty years ago.
