Ann came by. All is good, and we had a lovely visit.
Thatch in the Box! Photo by Ann.
That leads to the 1917 song "Over There"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Over_ThereThe verse starts:Johnny, get your gun, get your gun, get your gun.Take it on the run, on the run, on the run.Hear them calling you and me,Every Son of Liberty.Hurry right away, no delay, go today.Make your daddy glad to have had such a lad.Tell your sweetheart not to pine,To be proud her boy's in line.
My fake chili.....a made a saucepan of spaghetti, added the leftovers of the Manwich hamburger, diced tomatoes, onions, and a can of chili beans.....then the rest of the container of Manwich.....and cooked it up.It's okay.
The reason this came up is - as posted by Stephen Cole's thread on Facebook - that today (September 21) is the anniversary of the ANNIE, GET YOUR GUN production in the 1960s the was jokingly called GRANNY, GET YOUR GUN.
Many people don't know that the Jack in the Box restaurant franchise was almost called Thatch in the Box.

Quote from: Rodzinski on September 21, 2025, 10:43:35 AMSpooky coincidence that he came up on your FB yesterday. Not Andy himself, but his show: Former DR Tomovoz and I were mentioning when the last time Tom and I saw each other in person was, and it was in 2006, when we'd all seen "The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun" at the Theater at St. Clements at NYMF. For reason I don't recall, Tomovoz wasn't able to come to the HHW gathering here that weekend.
Spooky coincidence that he came up on your FB yesterday.
So sorry the answers aren’t coming easily, Jane. Hope your doc provides a good path forward.
