She gave up immigration law years ago. Like during the first term, I think. It didn't agree with his stance.

I wish I felt CLEAN right now. I don't. This morning we had to do the thing that makes a pet owner feel the least clean of all:  We had to say goodbye to our beloved feline companion Mikey, at 17 years of age.

Over the past few weeks, the years of slow-moving kidney disease and thyroid issues and other things took their final toll, and he was letting us know he wasn't a happy camper anymore. We knew it was time. We were the only ones at the vet's office this morning, and they were wonderful. We'll pick up his paw print tomorrow. (We'd only ever had that done for the last cat, Poe, in 2020 - nobody had ever offered before - and now Mikey's will hang next to Poe's on the wall.)

I'm so sorry, ChasSmith.

Finally talked to our web host on the phone. We are a Word Press discussion board - and the problem has been that they haven't done the updates in five years. So, we're implementing that immediately - it will take some time so that we protect everything, but once that's done then all the security protocols we don't have, which is why this is happening, will be in place and we should then be fine and able to instantly combat any problems, although there probably won't be any. Unfortunately, this will cost a bit of dough, but it must be done.

I am slogging my way through the new Superman movie. I know I'll probably be in the minority, but I can't stand it so far, thirty minutes in. I suppose I'm a Superman purist. For me, there have only been three iterations that worked. My number one will always be the TV show, but that's understandable, as that's what I grew up with. Next would be the Richard Donner movie, which mostly got everything right, especially its portrayal of Superman/Clark by Christopher Reeve and the Lois of Margot Kidder. Third and final would be the amazing Max Fleischer cartoon series. That is it. I hate all the attempts at new outfits, and while I appreciate the attempts at humor in the first thirty minutes of the new film, I just don't find them funny. And Rachel Bresnahan just rubs me the wrong way. I don't know how much more I can slog - we shall see.

Well, last night while looking for The AIDS Quilt Songbook CD (which I didn't find...yet), I found and was able to open the box to my Bang & Olufsen turntable.  Here is is:

Yesterday at the flea market some twenty somethings were ahead if me looking into a box and one said,  " oh these are useless they're old vinyls" another said, " oh its ok my dad gave me his vinyl machine"
