Yesterday was the fundraiser for which I made the caramel corn.  It was selling well and there were only a few bags available when I left about an hour before the closing.  I helped with ticket selling early, then Richard came in for lunch.  We bought homemade vanilla and homemade peach jam and visited with a lot of our neighbors.  I came home and took a nap.

Glad to hear the caramel corn was a success!

:)

But people do say "Lookit!" often enough to make up for that.

Happy Sunday to everyone!  On the Broadway Radio Show, I'm joined by author Rick Pender to delve into his new book "Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: Behind the Bloody Musical Masterpiece." It's a fascinating look at the history of the Sweeney character's origins in France and England, becoming a mainstay of the Penny Dreadfuls and early melodramas before eventually bursting forth on the Broadway stage! Pender's book covers it all in entertaining detail.

If anyone is following the horrific news from Grand Blanc, Michigan, my sister lives there and can see the smoke from her house  :'(

My favorite right now is the Great Value Walmart Rising Crust Buffalo Chicken pizza.  :D

Highly recommended by the likes of me if you have a WalMart in your neighborhood.

I read a story about a DC firefighter who was mugged and shot as he was close to home.  It was late, 911 was not only understaffed but busy.  After holding 3 minutes he called his fire station and they rushed over to help him.

Just saw on Facebook that former dear reader Michael Druxman aka Druxy has passed away. He was controversial here because all he ever posted about were his plays and everything he seemed to be publishing on a daily basis. He wasn't asked to leave, but I believe he got the drift that many people were irritated by what he was doing. Still, my experiences with him were okay in terms of directing and/or acting in one of his projects.
