Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the tenth month, namely October, and now it is time for you to post until the October cows come home.

From last night:

Congrats to Keith's Wordle score!

Thanks, Kevin for the Wordle Word of Encouragement!

And Congrats on your Wordle score, Kevin!

As for my first word guess, I use either "audio" and "adieu" because they each have four of the five vowels.

I slept rather well, but by the time the alarm rang, my legs were screaming to be stretched and forced to move.

Annabelle is still basking in her Gotcha Day celebrations. She had a lovely day, even if Stella and Thatch refused to kowtow to her.

This morning, I must deal with the HRA, since it's still a mess, no matter what the lady told me on Mopnday. I also need to call Access-a-Ride.

The project for the day is to deal with signing the remainder of the 25 books, which arrived yesterday, for my Facebook friend.

Fittingly, today, October the First, is also literally our first day of all, weather-wise. High of 68 today, 65 tomorrow, and 70 on Friday. Saturday gets us back to a high of 80 which will be nice. Not that I mind the cooler days. The overnight lows are the real thing, though -- they just dropped from the mid-to-high 50s to... 40!

BK, any fun dinosaur movies you would recommend? I didn’t care for the original Jurassic Park.

We’re in fall weather mode here too. Only 89 for a projected high today.

I went with friends to the original Jurassic Park at an okay but not exactly fabulous movie theeder in Torrance, CA. It was fine then, but it didn't convert me to being a dinosaur fanatic like it did the rest of the civilized world. Never went to the second, but I did see the weird third movie on a double feature at a (wait for it ----------> ) drive-in theeder.

I do, however, live with a REAL dinosaur fanatic - Kristi, especially - who has seen every such movie multiple times. I've seen a few of the later ones with her and Nathan at home, but for me it's background, I'm not really paying attention, I'm just along for the ride. I don't mind that now and then, and I can always retreat to my own Movie Room. But I do think they're as silly as all the other "today" franchises.

I have that on either DVD or Blu-ray, and have never watched it. I need to get into watching all the silents I have here, and then move on to others. I really do appreciate them more as time goes on. (I wasn't able to watch any of the TCM fest the other day.) Bedford Playhouse is showing Buster Keaton's The General with live piano accompaniment this coming Sunday afternoon, and I'll try to get there to support that.

When I did the Zoom interview a couple of weeks back, I was tempted to look into the techniques used by Lucy in MAME; they were so nice and subtle.

Another phone call to HRA and another nice lady assured me that all was well. I did learn that the documents I had mailed in were finally downloaded on Sept. 26, eleven days after that were due, and around 26 days after Jen mailed them for me. Supposedly, my account is okay. I will know tomorrow.
