He'll let me know when it's up - probably in a week. According to him, this podcast is VERY popular - hell, maybe I'll even sell a book or three.

Book sale vibes!

I'll be atoning for shilling for YouTube views on this Yom Kippur parody

For fasting on Yom Kippur:
"I Will Survive" parody  - "I'll be Inscribed"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxTuhLayowQ

"I Will Survive" is extra-special (!) this year since Gloria Gaynor is a 2025 Kennedy Center honoree.

Or maybe that would be too tough, so I'll just refrain from clicking on those until noon tomorrow.

Even Hugh Jackman's divorce didn't get detailed coverage like this.  Maybe because this one involves two big-name stars.

I'm very glad he was with me.  I like the doctor, she speaks quickly though & I know I missed a few things she said.  We went in with a list of questions and comments, even giving her a copy as we went through them.  Fortunately she was fine with that, and was able to go through them quickly.

More labs have been ordered, which I will do on Monday, and she is ordering an MRA with contrast.  Basically going into an MRI machine but looking at my blood vessels.

I told her that I do not want a biopsy in my head, especially with the risks of a false negative.  She said if I had a biopsy and it showed negative she would still treat me for Giant Cell Arteritis.  So I will pass on that.

When I was a kid we'd have to go to the Orthodox temple that my grandfather belonged to - I just wanted to go to the movie theater on the boardwalk and see whatever was playing, and sometimes I did. If not, I'd head downstairs to a kind of rec room and do shows down there for my own amusement. That is featured in Benjamin Kritzer.

Starting sending the vibes for that MRI in advance.

Hoping it was a helpful visit with the doctor.

Oh, I am sorry, DR Jane. How soon can you get off the prednisone?

MRA but thank you.

I now have a doctor so that is good.  It would have been upsetting if we didn't like her.  I liked most of what she said, and she explained why I can't get tests or meds that are used in the UK that I would prefer to have.  There might be future discussions about things I am hesitant to do.

Sigh, not sure.  It depends how well I respond, or react to reducing it.  I don't want to take a different medication that is supposed to help you get off the prednisone sooner.

It could be years, or less, or never.

My primary care doctor told me that given that I'm diabetic, he's nearly 100% sure that if he gave a suggestion for me for Wegovy (or one of those drugs), Medicare would approve it and cover it.  I'm concerned about adding something like Wegovy because among my various medications and whatever I've been consuming, my A1C has stayed steady after a long period of having been as high as 8.5 and 7.8, and recently the A1C has been in an acceptable range (I think since I started using glimepiride) - and also, I hear those drugs like Wegovy can really back you up in terms of digestion, which can affect how you feel overall.

But it's good to know he's confident the Wegovy-type drugs are available on Medicare. It didn't seem that available when I was on pre-medicare insurance.

Someone on another site jokingly drew an analogy that the slow process of getting a musical to the stage is like a body on Wegovy.
