My primary care doctor told me that given that I'm diabetic, he's nearly 100% sure that if he gave a suggestion for me for Wegovy (or one of those drugs), Medicare would approve it and cover it.  I'm concerned about adding something like Wegovy because among my various medications and whatever I've been consuming, my A1C has stayed steady after a long period of having been as high as 8.5 and 7.8, and recently the A1C has been in an acceptable range (I think since I started using glimepiride) - and also, I hear those drugs like Wegovy can really back you up in terms of digestion, which can affect how you feel overall.

But it's good to know he's confident the Wegovy-type drugs are available on Medicare. It didn't seem that available when I was on pre-medicare insurance.

Good luck making a decision.

It was so interesting to know there are choices available on Medicare at 65 that I practically speaking didn't have just six months ago when I was still 64.

On the other hand, there's one drug I've been on for years that Fidelis and United Healthcare regular plans always covered completely that Medicare won't cover at all.  Luckily, that drug only costs about $13.99 a month, so I told CVS to just charge me the regular price.

Did anyone else, when given a key to a Medeco lock, ever get confused as to why their apartment or office had a medical lock?

That's Medeco lock, Miss Litella, not medical. :)

The funny thing, adults get to stay up as late as we want, but I just want to be in bed by 8:30pm.

Whoa. It's Julie Andrews night on TCM. They're about 25 minutes into Victor/Victoria... to be followed by Torn Curtain... to be followed by Hawaii... which takes us till 6:30 a.m. ...

Well, I don't need to watch things till 6:30 a.m., that's for damned sure. But I'll enjoy seeing/hearing some of this when I do go to bed and eventually pass out.

This is true. WE are in charge now. If only we felt like taking advantage of it.

For evening snack, ordered a small bowl of chili, which comes with a tiny salad and corn bread - from House of Pies. I kept waiting for it to arrive, dozed off for ten minutes, then decided to track it, as it was late in coming. Dasher had delivered it thirty minutes earlier - no text (they have to), no email saying it had arrived (they have to), no doorbell or knock (they have to) and ice cold food. I got the chili heated up so it was tolerable, but nothing would help the cornbread - mostly it all went in the trash. They weren't going to refund me, but in the end they did.

My Minister Has a Thing for Those Hand Pies - that's the title of my next novel.

I thought the same thing! Such a unique sentence.

I tried I think it was John G’s method of sliced hot dogs filled with cheese then wrapped in a tortilla. For me it was Siete almond flour tortillas from Costco. Worked pretty well.

I actually, uh, came in last. So what now?

I found a pristine copy of The Best of Sam Cooke from 1962 the other day. Was listening to that this evening.

Originally got a repress of that when I was about 12. Became obsessed with older music after hearing “Chain Gang” on the radio on a drive with my dad.
