At rehearsal last night, we ran a few things then started at the top of the show, but only got about 2/3rds of the way through act two.  It was good work, though.  I still need work on the dance for the song, "Facade." ::)

And I have to memorize my five or six lines...and songs.  We're off book on Monday!

I slept solidly from 8:30 to 1:30, and the rest of the night was hit or miss: my left hand kept going to sleep and my legs were killing me. Thatch was restless, and then Annabelle vomited. Stella wisely stayed out of the way.

I've had assurances this week that all is well with my HRA account, only today, since no funds have been transferred to my bank card, it's clear that all is not well.

I also have an editing session with my ballet friend Doug Fullington. We're co-editing a 1934 ballet score by Kay Swift, who was one of George Gershwin's girlfriends. I knew Kay in the 1980s and she was a wonderful lady so I'm happy to be working on this.

I was shocked when I heard the government shut down, but only because I wasn't aware it was ever actually working in the first place.

Last night I did indeed have TCM playing at low volume when I hit the sack, but this time I was out like a light.

Imagine my surprise when I woke at 2:16 a.m., thought the clock said 6:16, and because there was some light in the room, I thought the sun was coming up. Then I turned my head, and it was Torn Curtain. Oy! I decided it was only right that I saw a couple of scenes before turning it off and going back to sleep. And I sort of did, but it was a chore keeping my eyes open. I did finally turn it off and passed out again. I even succeeded in sleeping in a little.
