HRA did not renew. I have been waiting on the phone for 40 minutes to speak to someone. I am not amused.

CAUTION - SHILLING FOR YOUTUBE VIEWS IN THIS POST!

I'm wondering whether there's any subject I haven't done a YouTube parody about:

This was a 2012 parody recalling the once-very-reliable U.S. Post Office, at the time when Edith Piaf was honored with a "Forever" postage stamp.

I’ve sent letters with stamps without the “original adhesive” before. They arrived.

I have, and they did, also. ::)

I guess that Piaf stamp post is also in honor of Marion Cotillard (Oscar winner for playing Piaf) being a regular in the brand new season of THE MORNING SHOW

And it seems Juliana Margulies is nowhere to be found in the new season, season 4 of THE MORNING SHOW

and SPOILER

You'd have thought Jon Hamm was gone from episodes 1 and 2 of season 4 - but they don't make his reappearance on screen in episode 3 a real surprise, since he's prominent in the credits for episode 3 of season 4!

How did the stamps stick to the envelope?  Did you use scotch tape?

I used something like Elmer's glue or double-sided tape.

Decided not to make pasta today - maybe tomorrow. Today is orange chicken, extra crispy, from City Wok. Should be here shortly.

ChasSmith - sounds like you did a fine job. When I first began making it for the Christmas Eve Dos, I used an entire red onion - it was fine that way. I just use a bit less today for the personal batches. For the Do I probably use two-thirds these days.

We had slinkies. Inevitably they’d get kinda tangled up and ruined. Then the plastic ones came around, that’s all my kids know, and small ones are given out as cheap party favors.

The plastic ones come in pretty colors.

I sent you a letter but I forgot to stamp it!

HA.  That was big in the second grade because it was followed by a stamp on the foot.

Sounds reminiscent of the world of playing the card game "52 card Pick-Up," then throwing someone else's deck on the floor and saying now go pick the cards up.

Except the stamp on the foot sounds painful vs annoying.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, Larry.

Thanks. I hung on for 55 minutes before I hung up to feed the cats. I kept thinking I'd get a "we can call you back" message, but nada. I'll try again on Monday morning.

Inundated with fruit flies. My 3 traps have worked over the last couple days. Population is dwindling.

Homemade traps using a bowl with water, apple cider vinegar, a crushed blueberry or blackberry, and plastic wrap with holes poked in it.

Bruce Vilanch made this post on Facebook:

"for those of you who are keeping score, in the new stephen king picture THE LONG WALK, two guys are killed while taking a dump.  actually, one of them lives, but he has dumped his last. this tops the current record-holder, JURASSIC PARK, in which a guy is eaten by a dinosaur while taking a dump.  the guy, not the dinosaur.  dinosaur dump does figure into the plot a bit earlier, when laura dern  is forced to sift through some to find out why some mammoth creature is down for the count. this is jimmy fiddler with the hollywood minute."

I had to respond and did, thusly:

"The dump scene, as it's now referred to by executives in the hallowed halls of studios, is a must in all movies. The first thing that happens in the motion picture Malcolm and Marie is that Marie, played by Zendaya, goes to the bathroom and takes a dump. Whether she washed her hands after remains unknown because that son-of-a-Barry Levinson visionary dump director, Sam Levinson, doesn't show us. But every movie I see these days has a sitting on the toilet scene. This is called Realism in Neo-Hollywood. One need only look at the greatest dump scene in the history of motion pictures, which opens the motion picture, Babylon, directed by another visionary dump director named Damien Chazelle, who, of course, under his real name (little known fact ahead) Damian Thorne, was and is the son of Satan. And just yesterday, in Jimmy Fidler's column, I read that Disney is doing a live action animated film called Humpy Dumpy, based on Humpty Dumpty but with all the "T"s left out of the script. It is the first mainstream film in which no "T"s are allowed. It is an amazing time to be in the dumpster known as the show business. Thank you for listening, Sincerely yours, George Christy."

Sonny Curtis sings "Love Is All Around" live  -  (the second part of the lyric sounds a little, well, objectifying, so it may be for the best that we only knew the first part)

Made a little art trade - something I didn't care about sitting in the garage for years for something I did care about - it was priced really low to begin with and I'd "saved" it in my eBay cart, but then wrote the seller and we worked out our trade, which took a couple of days, and so this pretty thing will be on its way to me Monday. Can anyone guess who the woman in the painting is?
