THE MUSIC OF THE NIGHT
« on: Today at 12:22:40 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the music of the night, mostly Japanese, but now Israeli composer Paul Ben-Haim and his symphony number 2, and now it is time for you to post until the music of the night cows come home.

Today will be the first (of three) J&H Sunday matinees.  Our call time is 12:30 for the 2:00 show, but people have been getting there earlier than that, so I'm going to try to get there earlier, too.  We'll see if I actually do.

Then tonight at 7:00 p.m., Theater Artists Olympia will be having a belated The HEAD!!! That Wouldn't DIE! cast party and t-shirt dispersal.  I've had the HEAD t-shirts in my car for a few weeks now, and the actors are wanting their t-shirts!  So now, they'll get them.  I can't temember if I posted this before, but here's what they look like.

I'm very happy there seem to be no ugly Rethuglican messes from yesterday's protests. Ann, Jen, and their dog Oscar marched with Ann's school, and I watched some of the MSNBC coverrage of NYC in hopes of seeing them.

DR George, I loved your photos, too. I don't recall seeing a photo of your sister before, and I liked the shot of the two of you.

The dread hour approaches, and this morning I am finally doing half of the laundry. I hope to do the second half - the bedding - on Tuesday.

DR John G, I loved your photos. What is that shirt you are wearing?

About 30 years ago, I went to see Hole in concert. Their shirt was a blue collar work shirt complete with oil stains. You didn't get to pick your name. I got Don.  It's still my favorite concert shirt.

Sunday.

I was hoping to go outside and do a little more cleanup today, but there are other things that need attention, too. So, we'll see.

Happy Days!

I saw Donny Most when he played the DJ in GREASE when it rolled through town a couple of decades ago.  We met him at the stage door and he was nice and asked us if we knew of a golf course nearby. I told him about one....I hope he found it.

Sally Struthers played Miss Lynch in the show and she was great as well.

In a bit I shall be on my way to my last official duty at the theeder.

The 2025 Annual Meeting where I will present my final Promotions Committee Report.

I think I will survive.

Funny that the trio felt the need to add their Happy Days character names to their autographs.

It's Sunday!  On the newest episode of the Broadway Radio Show, I welcome award-winning singer & actor Phillip Officer to talk about his first new album in more than 20 years, a beautiful tribute to the legendary Mabel Mercer called "You Fascinate Me So." It's a gorgeous collection of songs and Phillip gives us insight into Mercer's inspiration for some of the greatest vocalists of all time.
